For the first time in Europe, the Philip Kotler Awards were presented. The honorary Kotler Presidential Award was given to President Lech Wałęsa.
During the European Forum for New Ideas in Sopot, the results of the first edition of the Kotler Awards in Europe were announced. The Kotler Awards are a prestigious global recognition, considered one of the most significant economic honors in the fields of management and marketing.
The award, created by Prof. Philip Kotler, aims to honor companies that excel in creating innovative value for customers, achieving outstanding business results, and driving dynamic growth.
In Poland, the Kotler Awards were presented for the first time, marking a significant event in the context of the European market. This award is dedicated to organizations that, through innovation and effective actions, build a sustainable competitive advantage while contributing to economic development.
For the first time in Europe, the Honorary Kotler Presidential Award was granted, with President Lech Wałęsa as its laureate.
Prof. Philip Kotler is one of the most influential American economists in the world, often referred to as the "father of modern marketing."
Prof. Kotler is renowned for his global contributions to market economics, emphasizing the importance of the value that companies must provide to customers to succeed. He is the author or co-author of numerous books and economic articles that have transformed the way marketing is perceived—shifting it from a sales tool to a key strategic function within organizations. Throughout his career, he has also focused on social issues, business values, sustainability, and nonprofit marketing.
Prof. Philip Kotler emphasized the importance of the award: “The Kotler Awards Poland is a recognition of Polish organizations and key values in management.”
Sadia Kibria, Chairman & CEO of Kotler Impact Group, stated: “Kotler Impact believes that the current generations are sustainable, evolutionary, and prone to transformation. We achieve this through the accumulation of market diversity, implementation of core educational resources, and the engagement of business and professional leaders who strive for excellence. Kotler Awards is a way to honor these values.”
Mariusz Soltanifar, Chairman of the Jury of Kotler Awards Poland 2024, noted: “Kotler Awards Poland is a unique recognition of Polish enterprises on the international stage and an acknowledgment of brands for their outstanding marketing efforts and effective management.”
Dr. Eng. Jacek Kotarbiński, jury member, added: “The Kotler Awards are synonymous with exceptional recognition for Polish companies on a global scale and appreciation for their highest values in management.”
