The Future of the Packaging Industry Begins in Poznań. TAROPAK 2026 Starts on 23 September!
Automation, sustainable materials, and green transformation – from 23 to 25 September 2026, Poznań will become the heart of the packaging industry. During this year’s edition of TAROPAK, the International Trade Fair of Packaging Technology and Labelling, industry leaders will showcase the latest technologies and innovations. The event will take place alongside POLAGRA, creating a comprehensive platform connecting the food industry with modern packaging technologies.
The upcoming TAROPAK 2026 International Trade Fair of Packaging Technology and Labelling
is a key business event for all industries using packaging, labelling, and warehousing systems. From 23–25 September 2026, representatives of the food, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, and e-commerce sectors will meet at the Poznań International Fair to discuss advancing automation, innovative technologies, and the requirements of the green transition.
The official opening of the fair, combined with the presentation of the prestigious MTP Group Gold Medal and Acanthus Aureus awards, will take place on 23 September at 12:00 noon on the Main Stage (Aleja Lipowa).
Packaging Industry Leaders in One Place
The TAROPAK exhibition halls will host a wide range of renowned manufacturers and distributors of packaging machinery, equipment, and materials. This year’s exhibitors will include:
The offer will be complemented by companies setting new standards in automation and materials: SEFKO, Filmat, Folmat, Infograf, Mhlift, FPS, and PK System, as well as organisations supporting the green transition: BOO Organizacja Odzysku Opakowań and Eco Save Group.
Key Debates: Deposit Return System, Digitalisation and Logistics Challenges
TAROPAK will be accompanied by an extensive programme addressing the most important challenges facing modern industry and trade. One of the central highlights will be a debate summarising the first year of the deposit return system. Market leaders, manufacturers, and retailers will assess the real effects of the new regulations, operational costs, logistical challenges, and the level of consumer engagement.
Experts will also address supply chain challenges during a panel focused on improving border controls, “The Border That Costs. Six Systems, Five Queues, One Container,” highlighting the role of digitalisation and risk analysis in reducing customs clearance times.
The programme will also cover topics related to artificial intelligence in optimising packaging processes and protection against greenwashing allegations when certifying environmentally friendly materials.
Synergy with the Food Industry and New Export Opportunities
POLAGRA will take place alongside TAROPAK, creating an ideal environment for business discussions between packaging suppliers and food producers. As part of POLAGRA, the continuation of strategic partnerships with Żabka Polska and Lidl Polska will be announced, providing a strong boost to the entire sector in Central and Eastern Europe.
An important point connecting the two industries will be the launch of the Africa Food & Trade Forum – a new international initiative opening up opportunities for Polish manufacturers to expand into African markets. In view of Africa’s dynamic demographic and economic growth, demand is increasing not only for Polish food products but also for durable, modern packaging adapted to long-distance transportation and the requirements of local markets. The forum will bring together diplomats and trade experts from Angola, Egypt, and the Republic of the Congo, and will conclude with individual B2B meetings.
