Case Study: Promotional Products Go on Holiday Too. The Second Edition of PIAP's Summer Travel Series

After the first chapter of our summer travel series, one thing became clear: a well-designed promotional product doesn't end its journey when an event is over. In fact, that's often when its real story begins.

This time, promotional products from PIAP member companies travelled across Europe with participants who received them during PIAP Connect events. Among them were a tote bag from Lanyard.Pro, branded caps from adsystem, and specialty coffee from Unique Choice. Each product served a different purpose, but they all had one thing in common—they stayed with their users long after the event had ended.

A Tote Bag That Ended Up... by the Sea

Some promotional products end up forgotten in a drawer. Others immediately become part of everyday life.

That was certainly the case with the tote bag created by Lanyard.Pro.

Minimalist, spacious, featuring eye-catching neon handles and the simple slogan "Create it. Order it. Wear it.", it quickly became the perfect beach companion. It travelled along coastlines, accompanied seaside walks, beach days and day trips, proving that a promotional product can simply be a beautifully designed everyday item.

These are exactly the moments when a brand stays with its audience the longest—not through intrusive advertising, but by creating something genuinely useful.

A Cap That Protects from the Sun... and Keeps the Brand Top of Mind

The second travel companion was a cap from adsystem.

Although the company is best known for manufacturing exhibition and display systems, it surprised participants of PIAP Connect by including colourful branded caps with its own slogans in the event gift packs.

During the holiday, the cap quickly proved to be one of those items you naturally take with you wherever you go. Whether relaxing on the beach, exploring a new city or walking along the coast, it offered protection from the sun while naturally increasing brand visibility.

It's a great example of how even a company operating in a completely different industry can use practical promotional products to strengthen brand recognition.

Coffee That Tastes Even Better with a Sea View

Not every promotional product needs to last forever to leave a lasting impression.

Unique Choice specialty coffee also joined the European adventure, packed in a convenient drip coffee format.

Whether brewed at a campsite, on the beach or overlooking the sea, every morning cup demonstrated how a carefully selected promotional product can become part of a memorable experience. Rather than feeling like an unnecessary giveaway, it naturally blends into moments people truly enjoy—and those positive emotions create the strongest connections with a brand.

What Do These Three Products Have in Common?

Although completely different, they all share the same philosophy.

They weren't created simply to be handed out during an event. They were designed to remain useful long afterwards.

That's one of the defining characteristics of truly effective promotional products.

A great promotional product:

- solves a real need,

- is aesthetically pleasing and well made,

- doesn't rely on loud branding,

- naturally fits into everyday life.

That's why the tote bag ended up on the beach, the cap protected its owner from the sun, and the coffee became part of peaceful holiday mornings.

Advertising That Travels with Its User

Every trip brings new places, new people and countless memories. In those moments, promotional products take on a completely different role—they become part of their owners' personal stories.

And that's perhaps the best proof that a thoughtfully designed promotional product doesn't stop working once an event is over.

Sometimes, that's exactly when it starts delivering real value for the brand.

This is already the second edition of our summer travel series. If your promotional products are travelling the world with your customers this holiday season, we'd love to hear their stories too.
